With the All-star break coming on fast, and an average about 25 games of a 66 game season have been played, the picture for the playoffs is cloudy in the west. There are 4 teams with 14-11 records competing for the bottom 4 spots including, Los Angelos L, Houstan, Portland, and Dallas. The top four spots are held by (in order) Oklahoma City, Los Aneglos C, San Antonio, and Denver. With injuries to top players for Los Angelos C with Chauncy Billups out for the year, and Danilo Galinari for a month for Denver the main focus is on trying to cope with the new news. Los Angelos had a strong backcourt with two all-star point guards running the offense. Now they will be solely relying on Chris Paul. It won't be too taunting for arguably the best point guard in the current game. He led a New Orleans team to countless playoffs with less than equal supporting cast.

Denver on the other hand might have a harder time coping with the loss while they fight for a top spot in the West without an all-star on the roster. They have a deep bench but are stricken with many injuries including to 3 of the 5 starters. The all-star break will be a nice break for the Nuggets with some time off to heal and not worry about games. Hopefully this team can stay strong because they have a coach and the players to be title contenders.
